Precious Metals Refining:
Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium
Refining of gold, silver, platinum and palladium has been an integral part of the services Imperial has provided for nearly a century.  During this period we have provided refining services to all facets of the precious metal industry, with special emphasis on jewellery, dentistry and industrial sectors.

Over the years, we have improved and expanded our refining operations and services to reduce settlement times and maximize your returns and profits. Both new and time-honoured technologies, security controls and quality procedures are utilized in the processing and assaying of your metallic and sweep materials, ensuring every lot further serves to strengthen the trusted, longstanding relationships we enjoy with our customers.

A dedicated team of professionals, committed to maintaining the integrity of our refining business, will handle your lot with complete care and confidentiality.

All lots are received and recorded by our security department.  Material is then forwarded to our refining control area, where it is photographed and assigned a unique lot number for proper identification throughout the refining process.

Every lot received by our Markham refinery is evaluated by our refining manager to determine the most efficient method of processing, ensuring our goal to ensure maximum recovery of all precious metals, while keeping your costs at a minimum and your profits at a maximum.

A new sweeps processing facility was established 4 years ago to accommodate the dramatic increase in refining volumes. This facility enables Imperial to process substantial volumes more quickly and efficiently, ensuring Imperial’s ability to remain competitive in the industry.

Please contact our head office or our branch in Rhode Island to determine the most appropriate method of delivery. Our Rhode Island staff will arrange shipments from the United States of America, on your behalf and provide all necessary customs paperwork (Commercial Invoice and NAFTA). Imperial claims no responsibility for lost shipments and contents should be insured for their full value. Shipments arriving after 12:00 PM EST on a given day, will be processed as received on the next business day.

Settlement Options:
Our interest in refining your gold, silver, platinum and palladium products extend far beyond the short-term financial benefit. It speaks to the core of our on-going commitment to earn and deserve your trust and confidence as well as your other critical and timely need – your manufactured product business. As a full service refiner, Imperial offers several options when settling your refining lot, including the exchange for manufactured product - additional charges may apply for some products.
