The procedures in place at Imperial ensure that the quality of the wire you receive will meet your requirements.

Fabricated karat gold alloys in these forms are available in a full range of colours at plumb content in the standard karats. Attention to consistency and quality is part of each stage of processing, from ensuring the gold content is at target correct through to final inspection to check that the dimension, surface finish, temper and when needed hardness or tensile values match the requirements stated on your order.

This is equally true of all fabricated products made using our silver and platinum alloys.

Imperial’s Ready-Stock™ wire products are designed to meet the need of both the high volume factory and the small volume bench jeweller. They are shipped in a half-hard state allowing you to use them “as-is” or anneal them for a softer temper. Providing optimum ductility and strength as well as superior performance, Ready-Stock™ wire products are made to exact dimensions and are drawn through dedicated precision finishing dies. They offer the finest quality and best surface finish with tight tolerance controls, and come in a wide range of size - round, half-round, rectangular and square. Thanks to our same-day delivery service, Ready-Stock™ wire is ideal for “just-in-time” fabrication, repair and sizing, and ensures your creations not only start off perfect but also finish that way.

Special Alloys and Products

A series of heat treatable alloys is also available should their unique properties be required in your application.

Solder filled wire is available in yellow or white gold, in 10 and 14 Karat. The solder and jacket are the same karat so you can focus on the design of the final product without needing to consider how much of the jacket is being removed.

Requirements for lot traceability or some quality based certificates can generally be accommodated if our customer service representative is aware of them when your order is entered.
